Are You a Risk Taker?

"Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of heaven. Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you and falsely say all kinds of evil against you because of me. Rejoice and be glad, because great is your reward in heaven, for in the same way they persecuted the prophets who were before you." (Matthew 5:10-12)

Justice is a popular idea that is ringing throughout our world today. We cry for justice as genocide rages and as governments punish their citizens. From our perspective in the trenches of living the Christian life, we expect that Jesus will reward our service with protection against the evil forces of the world. 

The challenge is that Jesus’ voice blessed the persecuted without promising any relief in this life. In fact, far from relief, He made persecution seem like a normal part of what it would take to follow Him. That is a scary thought for us—those who have become accustomed to a relatively pain-free lifestyle. 

As we seek to reach out and be the Voice and Hands of Jesus, we hope that God will give us opportunities without having to suffer to see them completed. The reality is that as we reach out we will be insulted, disgraced, despised and hurt.

Are you willing to take risks for God.

Ways to Be Involved

There are many ways you can get involved in the Lord’s work in India.

Prayer - Pray for AIM in the great task of spreading the Good News of the gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ throughout India.

Financial Support - Support financially any of the ministries or projects by designating funds for the appropriate project or General Fund through AIM to be used in areas where financial support is needed.

Increase Awareness - Build awareness in your local assembly by inviting AIM President Russ Sharrock to come and give a report of the Lord’s work in India.

Stay Informed - Stay informed of what’s happening in the field through the news posted on the AIM website, Blog, and Facebook about the work going on in India.

Prayer Requests

Pray for a spirit of unity among Christian groups, that they would be kingdom-minded and willing to share resources.

Pray for Christian witness in India regardless of its limited religious freedom.

Pray for those under the influence of Hinduism—that they will hunger for the living God.
