Winning the Lost

Did you know that thousands upon thousands of men, women, and children are dying without a Savior?

Asia International Mission (AIM) is a multifaceted ministry with the goal of reaching the lost for Christ, building and equipping the saints, and planting new churches (Matthew 28:18-20). AIM was founded by Pastor Russ Sharrock and his wife Alice, after being burdened by the Holy Spirit that millions of Indians were headed toward an eternity without Christ.

Following the strategy of the Apostle Paul, "To the weak I became weak, to win the weak. I have become all things to all men so that by all possible means I might save some." (1 Cor. 9:22) AIM is reaching the lost by meeting the spiritual, physical, and material needs of the people. Large evangelical crusades and Bible distribution have been effective in leading the spiritually hungry to Christ.

Susilla has had leprosy since she was 14 yr old.
In addition, AIM cares for people's physical and material needs through the following ways:
Children's Home
Slum and Leper colony ministry
Disaster Relief
Food and water distibution

Through these ways, and others, Christ's love is exhibited in a real way and many are drawn to Him.

Since foreign missionaries are not allowed to preach the gospel in India, an important part of AIM's ministry is providing training to Indian nationals in the Word of God that they may be fully equipped for winning souls for Christ and establishing new churches.

God willing, AIM intends to continue it's work in India by establishing a strong Christian witness, and planting churches in this predominately anti-Christian nation. By winning the lost and building and equipping the saints, we will be obedient to our Lord for the furtherance of His kingdom.

The Global Water Crisis

You turn on a faucet and there it is...pure, safe water. You never give it a thought, you just accept as a natural part of life. It's a given.

For the 1.1 billion people in the developing world who lack access to safe water supplies, however, water is a very precious commodity. Pure water is needed for drinking, irrigation to grow food, hygiene, food preparation, and other aspects of daily life.

However, the poorest of the poor, most of whom live in the slums of the developing world, often pay up to 10 times more for a liter of water than wealthy people living in the same city. And they have little or no access to sanitation facilities. Of special concern are those such as the lepers of India; who are outcasts in
society and can not use the community wells.
They must get their water from whatever filthy ditch or river they can find.

As a result:
2.2 million people die each year from water related diseases.
80% of water related deaths are in children ages 0-14. Each year, 1.4 million children die as a result of diarrhea.
The water and sanitation crisis claims more lives through disease than any war claims with guns.

Meanwhile, an American taking a 5-minute shower uses more clean water than the typical person living in a developing country slum uses in a whole day.

Of the 60 million people added to the world's towns and cities every year, most live in impoverished slums and shantytowns with no sanitation facilities. Is it any wonder that, at any one time, more than half the poor in the developing world are ill from causes related to poor hygiene, sanitation, and water supply?

Without food a person can live for weeks, but without water, he can live only a few days.

AIM and our partners are committed to helping the people of Asia develop access to safe, pure water supplies.

If you would like to help give these people a better, healthier life by giving them the gift of pure water, please go here and Donate Now.
