Can God Use Me?

Have you ever wondered, “Can God use me as a Missionary?” The answer is yes! It doesn’t depend on your talent or ability to persuade people. As a believer in Christ you’re indwelt with the Holy Spirit. In Acts 1:8 Jesus said, “But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." He also said to his disciples, “Come follow me and I will make you fishers of men.” (Matthew 4:19)

As you prepare for Mission service, the proper focus is critical—it needs to be on God. We all know this intellectually. However, in reality we often dwell on our perceived strengths or weaknesses, and on what we think we either can or can’t do for God. All of the abilities we have are God-given and to be used for His glory.

The Lord knows our strengths and weaknesses and is not hindered by them. In fact the apostle Paul reminds us that God’s grace is sufficient and His power is made perfect in weakness. In 2 Corinthians 12:9, 10 he writes, “Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. That is why, for Christ's sake, I delight in weaknesses, in insults, in hardships, in persecutions, in difficulties. For when I am weak, then I am strong."

Your faith journey doesn’t begin when you step on the airplane. It’s already begun. Watch God open doors for you as you share with people about why you’re becoming a Missionary and observe Him provide the funds needed for you to go. He can and will use you.

As you prepare, fix your thoughts on Jesus—the King of Kings, the Lord of Hosts, the One who spoke the universe into existence; the All-Powerful Never-Changing One.

Go, trusting in His strength and not in your own abilities.

Please pray for Pastor John Samuel Kim, from the Jerusalem prayer house in Kannur village, Karnataka, who was standing on the road with three friends when Hindu extremists beat the pastor unconscious. Kim was hospitalized with a broken rib, and injuries to his head and neck.

For God So Loved the World

For God so loved the world that he gave His very best. He gave His only begotten Son. If God loved us that much don’t you think that we should find His will for our lives and pursue it with all our hearts?

Finding God’s will and walking in it should be the passion of every Christian. The will of God is not a road map. It is a relationship between our Savior and us. As we leave our will at Calvary and live in His will, we need to make sure that it produces the fruit for which Jesus died.

When the Lord has us, He has what He desires to work through us to reach a lost and dying world.

"No one can sing of things they have not seen. Worship starts with seeing you." -Matt Redman.

Pray for the laborers all across the world that are taking the glory of God to be a light to the Nations.

Pedaling Pastors

Six bicycles—six eager men of God. I was in Tenali, India, and part of my reason for being there was this big moment. It was the kind of day that makes me love my job with Asia International Mission.

As the first name was called, a beaming pastor stepped forward to accept his new bicycle, provided through gifts to AIM’s Pastor’s Bicycle Fund. Within a few minutes, six pastors were standing beside the most expensive gifts any of them had received in their lives. To say that they were grateful would be an understatement.

As I watched those six devoted men of God ride their bikes away, I thought about how, just a few months from now, I'll be receiving testimonies of salvation, healing, deliverance, and more. Thanks for being part of the chain of blessing through your gifts to the Pastor’s Bicycle Fund

“How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, "How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!" (Rom. 10:14-15)
