Help Your Church Pray For The World

Idea 1 - If you are a leader in the church involved in various meetings, make sure to open your time with prayer for a different country each meeting. It is amazing how lifting our eyes beyond our own circumstances allows us to approach the matters of the day with perspective and humility.

Idea 2 - Hold a family service at church. You know how rewarding it can be to gather all ages together into one service. Take one of those times and build it around prayer for different parts of the world.

Idea 3 - Try integrating a global focus around a key church anniversary. Adopt a country on that day to pray for in a special way. You might plan a short term mission trip to that location, or you can support a missionary or mission organization working in that country.

Idea 4 - Many churches have displays that show the location and information related to the missionaries they support. If you have something like this, consider printing out the county profile that matches where they work, laminate and display it near their picture or latest prayer letter.

Idea 5 - Consider listing in your bulletin the countries that people can pray for during the upcoming week.

Idea 6 - Because small groups are so much a part of churches today, take the time to think through how prayer for the nations can connect with your small group studies. But don't over-strategize. This might be a great time to challenge each group to come up with a unique way of praying for the nations.

Short term trips to domestic and international mission areas are of great value to the volunteers and to those to whom they are ministering. Short term mission trips help volunteers to grow spiritually. Volunteers learn to pray earnestly for missions, to give generously to missions, and to witness more effectively at home.

If you would like to join us on a great adventure for God to India go to the AIM Website and apply. Our next scheduled trip is May 17-26, 2012. We will be doing a Children's Bible School and need at least 7 people for the team. Since spots are limited don't wait too long to apply.
"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8

Prayer Requests
Pray for increase in the annual giving and commitments for this upcoming year.
Without the many prayers of Christians, AIM would be defeated. The enemy is strong and crafty; we desperately need prayer backup continually (Eph. 6:12)
