Children of India

"Behold, children are a gift of the LORD; The fruit of the womb is a reward."  (Psalm 127:3)




Can you imagine growing up in such poverty that you are weak from lack of proper food, cold because you don’t have adequate clothing, or your parents are forced to put you out on the street to beg for food and money for the family because they no longer can care for you?

Imagine living with alcoholic or drug addicted parents who continually beat or abuse you! Imagine being abandoned, left to fend for your self or in some cases with your siblings seeking shelter in an abandoned building, or in storm sewers, begging or stealing food to survive.

There are many children in India living under these conditions, which provide little hope for a future. But there is hope! And that hope is Jesus Christ. The Lord has commanded us to take care of the poor. To give them hope for a brighter future.

Some of these children live in our Christian Children’s Home. They receive tender loving care, wholesome meals, clothing, and beds. They are taught proper hygiene, how to respect each other and their neighbor. But most important, they are taught about a loving Savior through biblical instruction and prayer. They attend school, go to church and grow up in a structured Christian lifestyle.

It is our hope and prayer that when these children come to the age of joining the workforce or start their own families that they will be a positive influence in society and the Christian community, but above all that they will come to know the Lord Jesus Christ as their personal Savior! Sharing with others that there is hope in Christ!

"And whoever receives one such child in My name receives Me." (Matthew 18:5)
