Genesis 12:1-3: "The Lord had said to Abraham, 'Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you...I will bless you... and all peoples on earth will be blessed through you.'" (NIV)
Matthew 28:19,20: "...go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you." (NIV)
Here we have one command in the Old Testament from the Lord to Abraham, telling him to leave his own people and go elsewhere. Why? So that "all peoples on earth will be blessed." We also have a command in the New Testament from the Lord to all Christians, telling us to go to all nations and teach them everything Christ taught us.
AIM believes that the Bible has one unified message from Genesis to Revelation; that those of us that have been blessed with the knowledge of God's salvation through the death and resurrection of Christ should spread that blessing to all peoples of the earth. To ignore that command is to disobey God Himself. Many are called to go, and many are called to send and support those who go through prayer and finances, but there is no one exempt from involvement in this command to make disciples of all nations.
How can you get involved? First, we encourage you to pray how God would have you serve. If He asks you to begin giving of financial and prayer support to one who is going, then do so with joy. If He asks you to go, then go knowing that Jesus is "...with you always, to the very end of the age."

Romans 10:14,15: "How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can they preach unless they are sent? As it is written, 'How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news.'"
